Visiting Hours

Gippsland Southern Health Service continues to review its processes to ensure the safety of our community and staff, whilst balancing the needs of our consumers during the COVID-19 pandemic.  All visitors must wear a face covering unless you have a lawful excuse or an exception.   

If you are visiting a patient in the following areas:

  • Inpatient Services – General Ward (Leongatha)

  • Multifunction Ward (Korumburra)

 

The following apply:

  • Visiting Hours of 2pm-6pm.

  • Visitors restricted to 2 people per day (from any household) provided they comply with the density quotient that limits the number of persons permitted in a shared place.

  • Discretion is used on other types of visits, including:
    o    a parent supporting their child
    o    a carer visiting a patient with a disability
    o    visits for end of life purposes.

If you are visiting a resident in the following areas:

  • Alchera House (Korumburra)

  • Hillside Lodge (Korumburra)

  • Koorooman House (Leongatha)

  • Visiting Hours 2pm to 6pm

  • Visitors restricted to 2 visitors per day, can be from any household.

Maternity Unit

Partner/support person: 

  • For the duration of the labour and may stay after    .

All other visitors: 

  • Visiting Hours of 2pm-6pm.

  • The number of visitors per day are not restricted, provided they comply with the density quotient that limits the number of persons permitted in a shared place.
