Nurse/Midwife Patient Ratios at GSHS

GSHS provides services to our community in a variety of different inpatient and residential settings.
Korumburra Hospital
Multi Function Ward/Alchera is a 35 bed mixed ward located at Korumburra Hospital.
The ward is broken down to the following:

Multi Function Ward has 15 beds that consists of acute and palliative care.

Alchera is a 20 bed High Level Residential Aged Care Facility.
In compliance with the Safe Patient Care Amendment Act 2019 Nurses are rostered in the Multifunction Ward and Alchera according to the following ratios under a level 4 hospital:

The expected number of occupied acute beds is 12 | The expected number of occupied palliative beds is 2 | The expected number of occupied residential beds is 20 |
Leongatha Hospital
General Ward is a 21 bed mixed ward that is based at Leongatha Hospital.
The ward consists Maternity Services beds, medical, surgical and palliative care beds to total up to 21.
In compliance with the Safe Patient Care Amendment Act 2019 Nurses are rostered according to the following ratios under a level 4 hospital:
