Updated: Mar 17, 2020

Updated 16/3/20

The nearest Coronavirus Assessment Centre is at the Wonthaggi Hospital. Patients who have symptoms compatible with COVID-19 may present to the assessment centre - you don’t need to call ahead if you attend.

If you suspect you may have coronavirus disease (COVID-19), please call the Victorian government hotline on 1800 675 398. Please keep Triple Zero (000) for emergencies only.

For up to date information go to: www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus.

If you have been overseas in any country in the past 14 days and you need to come to our hospital for a scheduled appointment please PHONE US FIRST on 5667 5555. Please do not attend without notifying us first.

Stop the Spread

Across our sites you will see signs advising the public (including patients, visitors, volunteers, and contractors) that if they have a fever or shortness of breath, or cough to please proceed to our Urgent Care Centre where they will be given a mask to wear and then asked further questions about their potential exposure to COVID -19.

Anyone who has symptoms AND has travelled overseas within the last 2 weeks is provided a phone number to ring and asked to return to their car. Staff will come to the car to assist them. If they do not have a car or phone, they are to present to Reception where further advice will be provided.

These measures are designed to reduce the chance of any spread if someone has COVID-19. Please do not be alarmed if you see staff with personal protective equipment (PPE) attending to patients in the front car parks.
