Gippsland Southern Health Service currently has a vacancy for Respirator Fit Testers. Fit testing of level 3 respirators (P2/N95 masks) is a part of a broader Respiratory Program set up to improve understanding of respiratory protection and ensure the safety of staff during the Covid pandemic.


As a Fit Tester you will be responsible for testing and optimising P2/N95 masks for staff and provide recommendations for individual optimum brand, model and size. This will ensure they adequately fit the wearer and protect them from harm.


This is a technical role where you will need to learn and repeat prescribed processes, identify problems and apply basic logic solutions. Your communication and interpersonal skills will be of the highest standard to ensure staff understanding and engagement in the program. Experience in scheduling appointments, effective time management and computer skills are essential for this role. The successful applicant will work with the Infection Control Coordinator, who will provide full training.
