Expression of Interest
Job number:
NA
Closing Date:
12th August 2018
Seeking interested Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and Speech Pathologists from Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service and South Gippsland Hospital to participate in the development and implementation of the Positive Behaviour Support Program to be established in partnership between the health services of the South Coast Collaboration.
Funding has been secured through the Advancing Practice in Allied Health Workforce Funding Program 2018-19 (Autism Spectrum Disorder). A project has been commenced to create a multidisciplinary team across the health services with the skills to develop positive behaviour plans to support participants and their carers in managing challenging behaviours.
Members of the Positive Behaviour Support team will be expected to support the working party establishing the clinic, and actively participate in a clinical interest group to maintain skills and embed best practice beyond the initial project.
Successful applicants will be provided with 5 days training provided by ASPECT Australia and initial mentoring through Yooralla to develop their capacity to provide positive behaviour support within a multidisciplinary team.
To apply:
Submit a one page expression of interest outlining your interest in the role and describing how you would apply the skills developed through the 5 day training to develop behaviour support plans for participants in the clinic. Your EOI should also include confirmation that you have discussed your application with your manager and sought their support to participate.
Send your expression of interest to Daniel Baker, Allied Health Clinical Educator, at Daniel.Baker@basscoasthealth.org.au by 5pm 12th August 2018.
