We are seeking a suitably experienced and qualified Registered Nurse to manage the infection control program at Gippsland Southern Health Service.  The role includes surveillance, clinical auditing, data entry and analysis, undertaking staff education and overseeing staff immunisation.  This position reports to the Deputy Director of Nursing and provides support to all sites and areas of the organisation.

 

 

This is a challenging role that would suit an experienced Registered Nurse who has an interest in the following:

  • Post Graduate qualifications in relevant infection control studies and infection control experience or be prepared to undertake the same.

  • Nurse Immuniser qualifications or will to undertake.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Initiative, personal drive and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment and provide supervision and resolve local and immediate infection control issues.

  • Computer skills – Word and Excel.
