Gippsland Southern Health Service (GSHS) is seeking applications for the coordination of our Volunteer Program. GSHS services are supported by our exceptional Volunteers working across the organisation and making a significant contribution to the care of our community. This role has responsibility supporting and organising the organisation’s Volunteer resources and reports to the Manager of Community Services.
Ideally the successful applicant will have a qualification in community development or equivalent and/or experience in a health-related field. Applicants should have sound communication, organisational and teamwork skills, excellent skills in information technology and established or emerging skills in managing a diverse range of volunteers.
Previous experience in coordinating people from diverse backgrounds and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment are highly desirable.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
Volunteer recruitment, orientation and retention.
Management and contribution to Volunteer training and development.
Liaison with government and non-government agencies.
Investigating and applying for funding to enhance the program.
Setting and operating within the program’s budgets.
Coordinating volunteer transport program.
Staff have access to supportive staff mentoring, education and development programs. Salary Packaging is available for all staff. The successful applicant will be required to provide a current satisfactory Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
