An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic and supportive Allied Health Team, with grading dependent on experience. The position offers a breadth of opportunity which may include hospital inpatients, outpatients, home visits and services to residential care facilities; together with education activities for both consumers and staff at Gippsland Southern Health Service (GSHS). Additional hours may be available as the service grows.
This role will involve a significant caseload of complex clients. The caseload includes early childhood intervention clients and an adult caseload. Experience or interest in these areas will be highly regarded. Particular skills working with clients of the NDIS would be desirable. Supporting and mentoring new graduates is an essential part of this role.
As a Speech Pathologist at GSHS you will:
Have appropriate qualification in Speech Pathology approved by Speech Pathology Australia and be eligible for membership to SPA.
Provide exceptional and evidence based service delivery in the Speech Pathology department.
Have the capacity to further develop your clinical and supervisory skills.
Partake in quality improvement and research activities.
Enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Like the challenge of a varied caseload, and display good organisation and time management skills.
