About Us

Gippsland Southern Health Service is a major provider of healthcare in the South Gippsland Shire. GSHS offers a broad range of services that meet the needs of a diverse and sparsely populated area. With two main acute facilities based at Leongatha and Korumburra, GSHS offers a broad range of specialist, general, acute, subacute, ambulatory, residential aged care and community services.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the role will assist in the development of programs and services that meet the strategic objectives of GSHS and the National Safety and Quality Framework for person centred care.

About You

You are a respectful and passionate person who will lead the accreditation across the organisation. You work exceptionally well with people at all levels, with demonstrated influencing and relationship building skills. You are passionate about identifying, implementing, monitoring and evaluating quality initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Review and monitor the organisation-wide quality systems.

  • Work with our leadership team to identify and drive continuous improvement.

  • Empower, motivate and develop employees understanding of GSHS safety and quality systems to deliver great care.

  • Have a highly developed person-centred / customer service approach.

  • Have a strong belief and commitment to Community Engagement within healthcare.

  • Have excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.

  • Have excellent computer skills.

  • Preference will be given to applicants with a knowledge of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.

  • Collect analyse and report to executive senior management and staff on outcomes and recommendations of safety and quality data.

  • Coordinate the management of incidents, feedback and risks through Riskman.

  • Coordinate policy and legislative compliance.
